The quality of both equipment and associated sound exceeds my expectations. Used in conjunction with a Xonar Essence STX Audio Card installed on a PC, playing music that has been ripped using Exact Audio Copy (EAC) software, the subsequent listening experience can be exhilarating. For example, listen in this way to track 16 (Disk 2) "Make Our Garden Grow (Finale)" of Leonard Bernstein's Candide; it's a joy to sense the space as well as individual voices of the chorus. Having said that, listening to music using more mundane mobile sources such as the iPhone is enhanced. Having tried them for herself, my wife insists that I buy a second set of these headphones for her.

True audiophile quality sound and effective Noise Cancelling don’t usually come in the same box, but Audio-Technica managed to do it here, and kick in some extremely thoughtful features and functionality as well.....you’re still going to have to shell out a few bucks, but the return on investment is very high.
